Ripe

It takes time for the oblate berries to reach their matte indigo hue, basking in the June sun. They’re so tempting thoughwhen they’re almost therehaving warmed from pale greento bright, maroon-ish purple. Sure,they’ll darken morein the berry bowl but they will always bepuckeringly tart.
