Holy One, at the dawn of creation, you spoke and the world came into being. Your words shaped the sun, moon, stars, and planets. Your words formed us from dust and your breath gave us life. When we turned from you, you sent prophets and leaders to call us back to you. And you sent your dear Son, the Word incarnate, living among us, proclaiming your love, offering healing with every word of grace. Your Holy Spirit moved in the hearts of frightened followers, teaching them to speak in the language of the kingdom, to offer to others what they had been so freely given. Speak to us now that we may become new creations through your word, turning to you to hear what you have to say, and translating the grace and mercy we’ve received into love for all your children. We ask this in the name of Jesus, AMEN.
